MAJOR PS3 Problems!
Well, i hate to say i told you so but i knew that the PS3 version had been neglected (see 360 vs PS3 comparison)
The official Ubisoft forums have now hit an all time high, with over 1000 people reporting problems with their PS3 versions freezing.
This is definately a sure fire sign that games should lay off the multi-platform’ness. Or at least, recognise that they are both completely different consoles that need to be coded substantially differently.
Anyway, here is what Ubi said…
We are aware that some consumers are having issues with the PS3 version of the game freezing. We are investigating this issue very seriously and will come back to you with more information as soon as possible. In the meantime, we appreciate the feedback you are providing and welcome any additional information relating to your PS3 and firmware versions as well as details of where the freeze occurs. You can report this information directly to us via the official support channels or in this thread. Please refer to your game manual for details.
The following information is helpful:
- Type of crash:
“hang” (= where the screen is totally frozen)? in this case, was there anything special displayed on screen? (text message, popup window…)
“matrix-like” freeze (where the camera can still be moved)? in this case, did you notice a white popup (tutorial box) beforehand?
- Time played since the game was launched (ie “time elapsed since player started his game session”)?
- Frequency of crashes (if recurring)?
- Firmware version : 1.94 or 2.0?
- Connected to PSN?
- Information board activated? (2.0 only)

-Always hang crash, never matrix
-Frequency: About every hour to hour-and-a-half
-Time playing: It usually occurs within the first 15 minutes, then I restart and it goes fine for about an hour or so.
-Firmware: 2.00 and 2.01 later
-PSN: Signed in at all times.

i have the game it froze on the first three missions mosty, but after that it was fine! Weird?
